Administrations of Relationships, Terzo Fronte at art-o-rama

Administrations of Relationships with works by: Maxime Bichon, Basile Ghosn*, Grossi Maglioni, Marinella Pirelli*,  Pierre René-Worms, Laure Vigna*, Camille Yvert, Terzo Fronte & Friends

What do emotions have to say about our relationship with the world ? This is perhaps one of the questions currently being addressed by what is known affect theory, so well embodied by the theorist Sara Ahmed, who sees this way of thinking as a theoretical tool for ‘thinking about experience as a resource for generating knowledge ’. It’s an attempt to see emotions not just as psychological states, but as social and cultural practices. Administrations of Relationships explores what everyday relationships – and the way they are managed in love, friendship, economy and micro-organism – do to our lives. It’s also the tittle of  the upcoming publication of the past six exhibitions  produced by and held at Terzo Fronte between 2021 and 2023.

Thank for their loans and cooperation to: Richard Saltoun Gallery London/Rome for the video by Marinella Pirelli and Valentina Cipullo Callegarini and Julien Marchand for the translation. The works by Laure Vigna were produced as part of Magnetic Residencies at Cove Park thanks to the support of Fluxus. For the works by Basile Ghosn: David Cluzeau and l’atelier Ultraviolet.
Terzo Fronte is an independent space that has deployed its programming between Rome and Athens, in the domestic spaces of the two founders. Created in 2021 by Georgia René-Worms and Colin Ledoux, Terzo Fronte borrows its mode of operation from literature and has built its programming around chapters conceived as a narrative experience, like a living book.
